"Bomb Alley" es uno de las láminas enmarcadas que tengo en mi oficina. El título completo es "Bomb Alley - San Carlos Strait, May 21, 1982", de R.G. Smith. (El otro cuadro que "ilumina" mi oficina, es "Sea King Rescue", de Robert Taylor, con el Atlantic Conveyor en llamas).
Hace ya varios años, ví el cuadro "Bomb Alley" (seguramente reproducción), en la Cámara de Oficiales en la Base Aeronaval de Punta Indio, y la ilustración fue tapa de la revista "Proceedings".

Soldado Domingo Morel was on Mount Longdon, where he had been deployed since 17 April.
He was one of the 11,000 Argentinan servicemen sent to defend the Malvinas,
many of whom were conscripts known as ‘chicos’ (boys). Every Argentinian male was
liable for 12 months of military service in the year he turned 19.
The military year started in January so many of the conscripts received only a few
months training before they went to the Malvinas. Despite their youth and lack of
experience most of the conscripts fought bravely and with determination.
Teniente de Fragata (Sub Lieutenant) Diego Garcia Quiroga, Agrupación de Buzos Tácticos
On 2 April, Diego Garcia Quiroga was an officer in the Agrupación de Buzos Tácticos (APBT),
a naval covert operations unit. He and seven others from his unit were seconded to the Amphibious
Commando of the Marines who were ordered to capture Government House.
The Argentinian attack was launched shortly after 6.00am. Garcia was seriously wounded by
bullets fired by Royal Marines defending Government House. Faced with overwhelming odds,
Government House surrendered a few hours later.After a period of confusion in which Garcia was
taken to one of the Argentinian naval vessels off Stanley, he was eventually flown back to Argentina
for medical treatment.

Lieutenant Cruzado, an Argentinian Pucara pilot of II Escuadron de Exploracion y Attaque,

Green on 28 May 1982
Nick van der Bijl served as the Operations/Intelligence NCO with 3 Commando Brigade.
His role was to collect information about the Argentinian forces on the Malvinas from
a variety of sources including prisoners of war, captured documents, patrols, aerial
reconnaissance and also from intelligence agencies in Britain. He converted all this
information into detailed intelligence and distributed it to British commanders.

Una foto fuerte, NN en puerto Argentino
Este es mi primer post asique me presento, me llamo Leonardo, hace tiempo que leo por aca pero recien ahora me decido a escribir, la verdad tengo mucho por leer y preguntar, y poco por aportar.
Va la primer consulta sobre esta foto que me impacto mucho, porque se asegura que es un NN y por otro lado en que circuntancias pudo haber ocurrido, no sabia que hubo combates tan cerca de la cuidad.

hi I will put this in English, as sometimes the translation gets lost,
there were two bodies, presumably killed by air burst, the sad thing about the photo is one of the bodies were accidentally driven over by light tanks coming into Puerto Argentino. Rest in peace these poor souls.

Yo creía que nadie sabia el motivo de la muerte de estos soldados, en otro foro me preguntaron si yo sabía algo ya que los blindados andaban por ahí, como todos ya saben yo no anduve por ahí el día 14 de junio y nunca escuché a ninguno de mis compañeros comentar sobre un atropello.
Rey me podrías decir de que blindados estás hablando, de los de ellos o de los nuestros??
Hola Gerardo, yo pienso que tal vez esos cuerpos fueron llevados hasta ahi por otros soldados y dejados por algun motivo, tal vez esperaban un vehiculo que nunca llego y los dejaron por algun motivo < frio, cansancio, etc..>
