La solución basada en el SAAB-340 ya existe: SB-100 ARGUS con Radar FSR-890 Erieye.
Yo no digo convertir los aviones argentinos sino preguntar por los que está dando de baja Suecia e incorporarlos a la logística SAAB-340 ya existente en la FAA:
November 1/21: Replacement The Swedish government has decided
to buy the Saab Globaleye to replace its Saab 340B AEW-300 Erieye. The press statement says the Globaleye has a more powerful radar and other sensors that boost Sweden’s ability to monitor the airspace, the sea and the ground.

In November 2009, Saab announced a 1.5 billion SEK (
about $220 million) contract from the United Arab Emirates for
2 of its Saab 340 regional turboprops, equipped with Erieye active-array radars that can scan large airspace volumes, and with related command and control systems. The Saab 340 AEW contract also includes ground equipment, initial spares, and support services.
The UAE is just the latest buyer of Saab’s Erieye system.
