El 30 de agosto de 1974, el destructor "Otvazhnyi" de la clase "Kashin" se hunde en el Mar Negro después de que un misil SA-N-1 ("Goa") se incendiase y causara la explosión de los restantes misiles, provocando un incendio catastrófico, que duró 6 horas. Murieron 19 tripulantes y 5 guardiamarinas.
