DIRECTOR WIKOG 9 SH

El director WIKOG 9 SH consta básicamente del aparato de cálculos, del telémetro montado sobre este con los dos anteojos de puntería y el anteojo de observación y el grupo electrógeno, cuya función es generar corriente continua de 24 Volts y alterna de 110 Volts para alimentar los distintos mecanismos del director.
Sirve como aparato de mando para el tiro antiaéreo desde tierra y para tiro de costas. Funciona según el principio de medición de la velocidad y variación angular.
Mientras con el telémetro esta ligado al aparato, se esta midiendo continuamente la distancia al blanco, con los anteojos de puntería que el mismo posee se mantiene constantemente apuntando el blanco en altura y dirección.
El aparato de cálculo determina los datos para puntería indirecta y los transmite por transmisores eléctricos a los receptores a índice de los cañones, estos datos son:
Angulo lateral total
Angulo de elevación total
Graduación de espoleta

Para puntería directa, cuando no funcione la trasmisión eléctrica, desde el director se transmite telefónicamente a los cañones:
Angulo de predicción lateral
Angulo de predicción vertical
Tiempo de graduación de espoleta

Para el tiro de costas, basta introducir en el director los valores de distancia medida al blanco y los de velocidad y rumbo apreciados. Los valores de velocidades angulares respectivos son determinados apuntando continuamente al blanco con los dos anteojos del telémetro, para lo cual deben accionarse dos volantes al efecto. Con el objeto de facilitar en todo lo posible los movimientos reguladores sucesivos de los volantes, se han instalado en el interior del aparato sendos motores que cooperan al giro manual de los mismos, de modo que mientras se van girando los volantes para conservar la puntería, se regula la velocidad de un mecanismo de fricción accionado por un motor, el que se combina con el giro del volante, hasta que en vuelo rectilíneo, la conservación de puntería se efectúa de un modo completamente automático, y por consiguiente, ya no es necesario accionar los volantes de puntería.
Solamente al variar el rumbo, cuando los apuntadores advierten que el blanco se aparta de la cruz reticular del anteojo respectivo, deberán girar de nuevo sus volantes hasta conseguir que el mecanismo de fricción quede regulado para el nuevo valor.
Las correcciones a los ángulos de predicción lateral y vertical, surgidas por variaciones en las velocidades angulares respectivas, son calculadas mecánicamente y sumadas automáticamente a los valores de aquellos.
Los datos de tiro que el director envía a los cañones son corregidos mecánicamente por influencias balísticas (erosión, variación de velocidad inicial, viento y densidad del aire), paralaje horizontal y paralaje vertical. Basta para ello que los respectivos valores sean introducidos en el aparato, para que los de las respectivas correcciones sean sumados automáticamente a los datos de tiro sobre los que influyen.





Algunas de las ventajas particulares que ofrece el WIKOG

-Proporciona datos de tiro exactos aun cuando la altura del blanco varie en forma continua (picada, vuelo de ataque, etc.)
También se obtiene exactitud casi suficiente cuando varían en forma continua la velocidad y el rumbo del blanco.
-Como consecuencia de que los datos del blanco se van determinando sucesiva y continuamente, a raíz de que los movimientos de puntería lateral y vertical se realizan a motor, es posible realizar el tiro sobre el blanco, aun cuando este vuele a través de nubes o humo artificial. Existe la limitación, sin embargo, de que el blanco mantenga su vuelo rectilíneo.
-Su manejo es sumamente sencillo pues las mediciones se realizan de un modo casi puramente electro-moto-automático.
-Se puede disparar con ángulos de elevación muy pequeños y hasta negativos
-Al tener el telémetro ligado al aparato, aquel recibe de este el ángulo de elevación y el telémetro le transmite al aparato la distancia al blanco, en forma automática. Asimismo al ser puntería continua, las mediciones de distancia pueden efectuarse en las mismas condiciones que sobre un blanco fijo, con las consiguientes ventajas sobre los telémetros apuntados con movimiento a mano, en los que se originan inevitablemente saltos y movimientos bruscos y consecuentemente mediciones inseguras.

Realmente es una muy buena descripción del funcionamiento de las torres de los acorazados Rivadavia y Moreno.-
Y ya que esta planteado el tema de los sistemas que componían una torre naval, quisiera que me aclararan un par de dudas respecto a las torres de nuestros cruceros de origen italiano e inglés.-

Los cañones de 190mm de las torres principales de los cruceros Alm. Brown y 25 de Mayo, tenían un cierre similar a los Krupp de las Baterías de Puerto Belgrano (de bloque deslizante horizontal) y por lo tanto tenían que usar una vaina de cierre para evitar la pérdida de gases en el momento del disparo. Que por el calibre debe de haber sido muy grande (no tanto como las de los monstruos de los alemanes de la WWI y WWII pero si bastante grande). Por lo tanto, y considerando el peso del proyectil (hay uno expuesto en el Museo Naval del Tigre y que se ve que difícilmente se pudiera manejar a mano) y de la vaina o cartucho, que debe de haber sido también grande y pesada, tiene que haber tenido un sistema para carga y atacado mecanizado.-
Alguien conoce como era?, O tiene información, esquemas, o descripción de cómo funcionaba? Les agradecería cualquier información.-

En el caso del Crucero La Argentina, de origen inglés, las Torres tipo W (Vickers de 152mm) tenían un sistema complejo de carga, que empezaba con los ascensores que subían el proyectil y el cartucho en un solo carro desde las bodegas, y en un solo trayecto. Cuando llegaban a la torre, un sistema de cadena de rodillos empujaba el proyectil y lo sacaba del carro, depositándolo en una bandeja o teja de carga. Esta estaba controlada por contrapesos y giraba hasta presentar dicho proyectil frente a la recámara del cañón.-
Hasta aquí el tema está claro, pero, que pasó con el cartucho que quedó parado a los pies de los servidores de los cañones? Este cartucho también era grande y pesado (creo que pesaba 38kg).- Como se cargaba? Como se atacaba?.-
En los cañones de 120mm de Vickers que se encuentran en el Museo Naval del Tigre, existían tejas sobre mecanismos y brazos que permitían cargar fácilmente sus cartuchos con carga fija, tanto deslizantes como de volteo. Además tenían la posibilidad de empujar dicha carga dentro de la recámara de manera asistida. Por lo que pienso que si tiros más chicos tenían ayuda, los de 152mm también deberían haberla tenido.-
Les agradecería cualquier información sobre como se cargaba y atacaban estas cargas.-

Con respecto a la carga, si tenia cierre a tornillo, pero el propulsante era a saquete, solo llevaba una vaina de uno 50cm de largo a fin de obtural la parte final de la recamara, cuando encuentre los pesos y medidas los pongo, sobre graficos o planos hay poco, muy poco, el tipo de atacador era a piston, traladado por un carro de carga que era cargado por un carro de transferencia que a su vez tomaba el proyectil de los ascensores y hasta aqui llego mi amor, en publicaciones viejas lo nombran como atacador tipo "Harvey"
