A German Panavia Tornado ECR Wild Weasel aircraft (s/n 46+26) of Jagdbombergeschwader 32 (JaBoG 32) (32nd Fighter-Bomber Wing) flies just forward of the right wing of a U.S. Air Force Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker of the 100th Aerial Refueling Squadron, waiting its turn to be refueled, on 22 September 1997.

A Boeing F-15C Eagle flying over Germany with two Panavia Tornado IDS on 6 Apr 1987. The U.S. Air Force F-15C-27-MC (s/n 08-0005) was assigned to the 36th Tactical Fighter Wing at Bitburg Air Base, Rheinland-Pfalz (Germany). The right-handTornado belonged to No. 14 Squadron, Royal Air Force Germany, based at RAF Brüggen, Nordrhein-Westfalen (Germany), the left-hand Tornado (s/n 44+37) was from the (then West-) German Luftwaffe Jagdbombergeschwader 32 (JaboG 32) (32nd Fighter-Bomber Wing) at Lechfeld, Bayern (Germany). These aircraft were part of a larger, 15-aircraft formation taking part in an aerial review for departing General Charles L. Donnelly Jr., commander in chief, U.S. Air Force, Europe (USAFE) and commander, Allied Air Forces Central Europe.

A Federal German Navy Panavia Tornado IDS aircraft (s/n 43+65) lands at Naval Air Station, Oceana, Virginia (USA), on 1 August 1989. TheTornado belonged to Marinefliegergeschwader 1 (MFG 1) (Naval Fighter Wing 1) at Jagel Air Base, Schleswig-Holstein (Germany). After the end of the cold war MFG 1 was disbanded in 1993. Note the thrust reversers.
