Japanese battleship Fusō, at speed, during trials after her 1933 rebuild. The towering "pagoda" superstructure was becoming a hallmark of Japanese naval designs at this time. Fusō would be sunk at Suriago Strait in 1944. Only 10 of her 1,900 crew would survive.

I count about 147-ish 14" shells on the deck of USS New Mexico (BB-40). Each shell weighed 1,500lbs (680.3886kg). So that's about 220,500lbs (100,017.118kg) of ordnance lying around. Also, note the sun bathers at bottom left.

When USS California (BB-44) was launched the braking mechanisms were inadequate and she crossed the Napa River, wrecked a small dock and got stuck in the mud stern first (as seen in this photo). She was not damaged and was refloated with the next tide.
