The first day of the 2024 International Air and Space Fair (FIDAE) came to an end, leaving many unforgettable moments in the memories of those who attended Santiago’s Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport. One of these moments was, undoubtedly, the display of the U.S. Air Force’s stealth fighters, the F-22 Raptors.

As reported days ago, upon their arrival in Santiago, Chile, two fifth-generation fighters from the USAF’s F-22 Demo Team are participating in a series of aerial demonstrations and exhibitions at FIDAE 2024. Here, the Raptor showcases the virtues of its design, based on its superb agility, stealth, and speed.

The exhibition, which began around 1:30 PM, captured the attention of the audience present on this first day of FIDAE. From Zona Militar, we could see the two F-22 Raptors on the sidelines, alongside the other aircraft that would perform aerial displays during yesterday’s afternoon. Among these, the F-5 Tiger III and F-16 fighters of the Chilean Air Force (FACh) stood out, as well as the Super Tucano of the Esquadrilha da Fumaça of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB).

Below, we share with our readers a series of different postcards to appreciate the most powerful and advanced stealth fighter in the U.S. Air Force’s arsenal.
