Amid great anticipation, the world’s leading aerospace companies and air forces from the region gather in Santiago, Chile, to participate in the 2024 Air and Space Exhibition (FIDAE). Between April 9th and 14th, it is expected that major firms in the sector will showcase their latest developments and projects, while military and security forces will have another opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities to the general public.

Prior to the official start of FIDAE, on April 8th, the Media Press Day took place at the Conference Center of the International Air and Space Fair, attended by media representatives and spotters. The purpose of the event was to inform about the activities planned during the fair.

The Press Day featured the participation of Chile’s Minister of Defense, Maya Fernández, who praised the work done by the FIDAE organization in recent weeks and months, stating, “I want to highlight the hard work carried out by the personnel working at FIDAE to carry out this world-renowned event.”

Regarding the specific events planned for the coming days, the organizers emphasized, “… the participation of more than 40 countries; 456 exhibiting companies; over 420 official and professional delegations; more than 3,000 scheduled meetings; 14,584 m2 of exhibition space; over 100 aircraft on display, and over 1,000 accredited media and spotters.”

Zona Militar will also be present at FIDAE 2024 to bring the latest developments in the aerospace sector to all our readers, as well as updates from the Armed Forces participating in the fair, led by the Chilean Air Force as the host, featuring demonstration teams from the United States with the F-22 Raptor, and Brazil with the Esquadrilha da Fumaça, just to mention a few of the forces that will grace the skies of Santiago, Chile.
