Midweek, the Argentine Army, deploying personnel and resources from various units, concluded another edition of the Air Assault Course. The activity, held at the Campo de Mayo facilities, was part of the force’s annual training plan, aiming to train soldiers, cadets, non-commissioned officers, and officers in techniques and skills that require combined use with aerial means, such as utility helicopters.

The completion of the course involved the participation of troops from the IV Airborne Brigade, specifically the 601st Air Assault Regiment (R Asal Ae 601) and the 2nd Paratrooper Infantry Regiment “General Balcarce” (RI Parac 2), also including personnel from the 1st Infantry Regiment “Patricios”.

Within the Army Aviation Command, personnel and resources from the 601 Assault Helicopter Squadron, the 602 Reconnaissance and Attack Aviation Squadron, and the 601 Combat Support Aviation Battalion were notable, with the presence of Bell UH-1H Huey II, AB-206, Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX, and CASA C212 helicopters.

As previously mentioned, the activity carried out at Campo de Mayo marked the conclusion of another edition of the Air Assault Course, where various practical maneuvers trained by the participants over the past weeks were showcased. Notably, the personnel performed descents from helicopters using rappel and fast rope techniques to execute an advance for the seizure of an airfield and its subsequent control.
