- One point everyone agrees on right away on is that "politicians" (no names) have used them all to hate each other, whereas they previously lived peacefully together.
- Mozgovoi says that in order to assure no hostilities continue, "Kiev needs to be cleansed." He says this doesn't mean he's calling for people to be killed. He explains "why" he feels this is necessary because the government that came to Kiev "used" people's desires during Maidan. He proposes to join hands and march on Kiev.
- Mozgovoi sidesteps the question when asked directly if RF is helping him or if there are RF soldiers fighting for them. He responds with a question, "are you denying the involvement of NATO specialists? Let's not talk about topics that divide us or focus on geopolitics."
- When the men discuss how they came to this situation, the Ukrainian commander says that they're not sure how it happened. They were told to go fight an "enemy" and only realized they're fighting their own people long after.
- Mozgovoi confirms there are ideological differences between people in DNR/LNR. However, he says this is a problem and they all recognize they have to all act together. He refuses to clarify further.
- All Ukrainian commanders express numerous times that they went to fight when they saw that Russia got involved
- Mozgovoi says that he could care less about the names "DNR or LNR" and sees these entities existing only because of what happened in Kiev.
- All say that there is clearly "someone" (a third side as they call it) that keeps fueling the fire of fighting and war, not from DNR/LNR/or their own battalions.
- They're both upset at people who sow division among them. Mozgovoi brings up examples of toppling ANY statues (be they to Stepan Bandera or Lenin). Ukrainian battalions bring up Svoboda proposing to restrict Russian language as the first order of business after Maidan. They say that they should all bury the past "heroes" and just stop bringing them up because they don't matter and are just used by politicians.
- Everyone says that they all seem to agree on basic principles about what Ukraine should look like. Ukrainian battalion commanders say that all battalions feel the way they do too, but it's like the situation is not being controlled by them because of politicians.
- Everyone agrees that after this conversation they're all likely to have new enemies from all sides.
- They all want to continue talking among each other again.
