I had to breathe through my spare gas mask cannister as the thick black smoke from the fire was coming up to the bridge and out through the door where I was sat. I threw my gas mask down the ladder to the tiller room where they carried on trying to control the ship.</em></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 12px"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma'"><em>None of the bombs exploded, they passed straight through. Bullets went everywhere, one destroying my Chief Petty Officers bicycle stored in the mast.</em></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 12px"><em><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma'">The fire was caused by bullets hitting one of our Wasp helicopter's AS12 missiles (or so I understand).
