Alan B.Jr SHEPARD
Astronauta,quinto hombre en pisar la luna.Segundo de los astronauta del Proyecto Mercury.

Muy bien don Biguá, veo que está afiladísimo, pero Shepard fue el primero, Grisson el segundo en tanto John Glenn el tercero y primer norteamericano en dar una circunvalación a la Tierra. Fue lanzado al espacio el 05/05/61 a bordo de la capsula FREEDON 7 en un vuelo que podemos llamar "salto de pulga". Luego vino el Liberty Bell 7, con Virgil Grisson, que a su regreso se hundió en aguas del Atlantico, sobreviviendo su tripulante.
Según dice la crónica, el primero en el espacio fue don Yuri Gagarin, pero las malas lenguas hablan de una anterior misión espacial sovietica, que habría fracasado y cuyo tripulante, de apellido Illushyn (Hijo del fabricante del mismo nombre) habría fallecido.
Cuando chico, recuerdo que en la Argentina se exhibieron las capsulas Mercury y Geminis, verdaderas "latas de sardina!, y tuve la suerte de poder apreciarlas a ambas.
