USS Oregon (BB-3), famed for her trip from San Francisco to Florida (south through the Strait of Magellan), a journey of over 14,000 nmi (25,900 km; 16,100 mi) at the outbreak of the Spanish-American War. A month later she played a key role during the Battle of Santiago de Cuba.

A rare photo of the IJN Settsu firing a broadside of her main battery of 12inch guns. Due to costs, the class had an odd mix of 12/50 guns on the centerline and 12/45 guns on the wings. Settsu would be converted to a target ship in the 1920s and finally scrapped after end the of WW2.
