After a few weeks of a historic milestone for Argentina, the Photographic Service of the Danish Air Force recently released images corresponding to the signing of the contract for the sale of 24 F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets. The gallery not only allows us to relive the signing of the long-awaited agreement but also provides some additional details of the event and its participants.

As seen in the images, the ceremony featured at least four Danish F-16 Fighting Falcons. In the static display, the F-16AM E-018 and the F-16BM ET199 (with Argentine roundels and flag) can be identified, both aircraft sporting the characteristic Have Glass V scheme. While the single-seater F-16 was equipped with AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles and an AMA pod, the two-seater showcased the array of Danish fighters: AIM-120 AMRAAM air-to-air missiles, a GBU-31 JDAM guided bomb, four GBU-39B SDB bombs mounted on the BRU-61/A pylon, and the AN/AAQ-28(V) Litening G4 pod.

Activities outside included the F-16BM ET613, an aircraft piloted by Minister of Defense Luis Petri. The F-16AM E-006 was responsible for the aerial demonstration before the political and military authorities present at Skrydstrup Air Base. The latter included Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen, Lieutenant General Kim Jesper Jørgensen, Chief of the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation, Chief of Defence General Michael Hyldgaard, and Lieutenant Colonel Casper Børge Nielsen, the officer in charge of the F-16 sale to Argentina.

The Argentine delegation was led by Minister Petri, Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Xavier Julián Isaac, Chief of the General Staff of the Argentine Air Force, Brigadier Mayor Fernando Luis Mengo, and the Secretary of International Defense Affairs, Juan Battaleme. Also present were Vice Commodores Giaccaglia, Sosa, Cavallera, and Llana, as seen in the photographs.

The sequence captured by the Danish Air Force Photographic Service not only immortalized a historic moment for Argentina and the Air Force but also captured the undeniable joy of the Argentine personnel present at Skrydstrup.
