Taking place at the I Air Brigade El Palomar, the Argentine Air Force carried out the presentation of its new Embraer ERJ-140LR aircraft. The event was led by the Minister of Defense of the Argentine Republic, Luis Petri, accompanied by the Chief of the Institution, Brigadier Mayor Fernando Luis Mengo, along with ministerial and military authorities.

The aircraft, which performed a ferry flight from the United States, has received the registration T-96 “Vuelo del Pampero“, joining the organic structure of the El Palomar 1st Air Brigade to strengthen various types of transport capabilities within the Argentine Air Force.

The acquisition of the T-95 is part of a tender initiated last year for the addition of two new transport aircraft. According to official documents published last November, the total cost of the operation reaches USD 6,856,200, awarded to the US company Regional One Inc. During his speech, the head of the national defense portfolio highlighted the recovery of transport capabilities of the force and the possibilities it offers for the military instrument of the Argentine Republic.

Regarding some data on the T-95, prior to its incorporation into the Argentine Air Force, the aircraft in question, MSN 145754, was previously operated by American Eagle Airlines and Envoy.

Finally, although no further updates were provided, it is expected that the second aircraft, barring any issues, will soon arrive in the country registered as T-96. The information is still recent and may be subject to changes in the incorporation schedule. In this regard, it would be the aircraft MSN 145747, manufactured 20 years ago, which was used by American Eagle and American Airlines.
