It provides the commander with a means of generating and transmitting reports whose content is provided by inputs from the platform systems, allowing minimal user input and a launch-and-forget message transmission system. LINCE can also be configured to provide flexible tactical data permitting the efficient transfer of tactical information within a local tactical group, onward transmission to higher echelons, and sideways transmission to flanking units.
