This proposed AD would require replacement of those LP 1st and 2nd stage turbine rotor discs. This proposed AD results from a report of an uncontained failure of an LP 2nd stage turbine rotor disc that caused an in-flight engine shutdown. We are proposing this AD to prevent LP turbine rotor disk separation, which could result in an uncontained engine failure and damage to the airplane. DATES: We must receive any comments on this proposed AD by August 30, 2004.</blockquote>
