Zona Militar will be present at the 10th Annual Future Armoured Vehicles Situational Awareness (FAVSA) Conference, which will take place in London from 22–23 April 2026, bringing together senior military leaders, government stakeholders, and industry innovators in one place to explore the technologies, strategies, and partnerships shaping the future of battlefield awareness.

The global demand for advanced armoured vehicle capabilities is accelerating as defence forces prioritise mobility, protection, and information dominance on the modern battlefield. Two major international events in 2026 will address these evolving requirements: the Future Armoured Vehicles Situational Awareness Conference in London and the Future Armoured Vehicles Central and Eastern Europe Conference in Prague (FAVSE).
The event comes at a time when the global armoured vehicles market is projected to reach £32.8 billion by 2030, driven in part by growing demand for enhanced survivability and information dominance on the battlefield. Situational awareness solutions—once viewed as complementary systems—are now central to operational effectiveness, enabling crews to better identify threats, coordinate with other platforms, and operate within networked combat environments.
Chaired by William Suttie, a veteran of more than 35 years in armoured vehicle research and development at the UK Ministry of Defence, the conference will highlight the growing role of digital architectures, C2 systems, and human-machine teaming in future combat operations. The London conference will provide a valuable networking platform, bringing together military representatives from the British Army, US Department of Defense, Canadian Armed Forces, and numerous European defence ministries, alongside leading industry companies including BAE Systems, Rheinmetall, Leonardo, Lockheed Martin, and Thales.

Complementing this event, the 12th Annual Future Armoured Vehicles Central and Eastern Europe Conference will take place in Prague in May 2026. As defence modernisation accelerates across the region, the Central and Eastern European armoured vehicle market is expected to grow to at least £7.51 billion by 2030. This year’s programme will feature an exceptionally senior speaker line-up, including three Major Generals and five Brigadier Generals representing multiple nations and commands.
Together, these two conferences demonstrate how the armoured vehicles sector continues to evolve in response to new operational realities. From battlefield awareness technologies in London to regional capability development in Prague, both events will provide critical insights into the future of armoured warfare while fostering collaboration between the military, government, and defence industry communities.
