As previously reported days ago by Zona Militar, the Argentine Air Force confirmed the receipt of a new logistics package intended to support the F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters recently received by the institution, aimed at ensuring the start of operations with the weapons system.

In this regard, we reported that: “Last Friday the 9th of this month, 50 containers arrived with tools, spare parts, components, and armament intended to sustain future operations of the F-16 system.”
Accordingly, yesterday, January 21, the Argentine Air Force stated on its social media accounts: “During these days, containers were received with a substantial portion of the logistical support necessary for the start of operations.”
Adding: “… the institution’s pilots continue carrying out simulator activities and ground training, as part of the preparation process planned to begin flight activities in the near future.”
In light of the latter, although no further details were provided, it is presumed that during the coming month of February the F-16s will return to flight as part of the conversion and training courses being undertaken by Air Force pilots.

Finally, as previously noted, the country already has six F-16 fighters received during the past month of December, after completing the corresponding ferry flight from Denmark with the support of KC-135 aerial refueling aircraft of the U.S. Air Force. As for the arrival of the remaining combat aircraft, in order to complete the 24 units acquired, these will be received in batches of six aircraft toward the end of the current year 2026, and subsequently in 2027 and 2028.
