In the framework of the International Fair AUSA 2025 (Association of the United States Army Annual Meeting & Exposition), the Israeli company UVision is participating through the exhibition of its main loitering munitions and solutions to integrate them into American combat platforms, as well as, seeking to show the company’s growth during recent years. From Zona Militar, we interviewed the delegation of said company that was present at the event, an occasion in which we were also able to address their view of the international market.

What UVision is presenting at AUSA 2025

As part of its exhibition at AUSA 2025, UVision has presented an important offering of loitering munitions that make up the main products that the company offers to different Armed Forces around the world, the same ones that differ based on factors such as their capacity to carry explosive charge and their autonomy. Among the most notable, the delegation affirmed that there are the Hero 30 models, especially designed for missions that require tactical attacks at short distances, and also the Hero 90, whose design allows them to remain in the air for up to 50 minutes and attack higher value targets.

On the other hand, the Hero 120 models were also presented, which has been selected in a recent process carried out by the U.S. Army to equip itself with this type of armament; its main characteristic being that it has a superior range than the aforementioned Hero 90. In addition, the event is configured as the first occasion in which the Hero 400 model is presented with a special configuration to comply with American requirements.

Added to the offering of loitering munitions, the Israeli company affirmed that it is developing solutions that allow the deployment of this type of munitions from platforms already present in the US Army inventory, one of the main examples being the work that has been carried out hand in hand with the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) to integrate the Hero 120 munitions to its Blackhawk helicopters; which in the future could also extend to other types of helicopters or drones.

The company has also showcased different types of unmanned systems developed by SpearUAV, which now forms part of the UVision structure, particularly showing the Viper family of drones. In detail, we talk about the Viper 300 and Viper 750 models as protagonists, whose different fixed-wing and rotary-wing designs provide operational flexibility as required.

About the international market

Consulted about its growing participation in the international market, the UVision delegation highlighted that it is not only managing to win contracts in the U.S., but also in Europe through a close collaboration with the German company Rheinmetall. Especially, mention was made of the shared factory that both companies maintain in European territory, which gives them the opportunity to bid in processes undertaken by the nations that are part of NATO. Added to clients such as India and Australia, the company currently brings together 23 international clients.

In the particular case of Latin America, UVision pointed to Argentina as one of its relevant clients. Put in textual words: “Argentina is a good client for us, we already have two contracts with the country. Although they are agreements for low quantities, but you know, you adapt the technology, you learn what to do with it. And we are very focused on supporting Argentina. Not only because it is a client, but also because the relationship between the countries (Ed. note: between Argentina and Israel) is quite good. And, apart from that, we are trying to explore other opportunities in South America.”

In this line they continued: “Mexico is a good example. Peru is a good example. Colombia, if the political relationship improves. And, without a doubt, Argentina and Chile. And in Brazil too, we are in the process of some budget requests in Brazil. So there is a lot of potential in South America. And we believe this is only the beginning.”

Added to this, in a news item of special importance for future acquisition processes, UVision affirmed that it already has the approval to sell its products through the American FMS program (Foreign Military Sales), which would imply greater facilities to negotiate through Washington. As expressed by the company itself, this implies diverse possibilities such as the exchange of information about the products with the U.S. Armed Forces, or even, with financial support from said country if necessary.

Finally, it is necessary to highlight that the company also maintains a factory within American territory, which would allow guaranteeing the supply of products even in case of difficulties for their production from Israel or other locations. Again in textual words from the delegation: “Now we have two production plants in the United States, another in Israel, another in Europe and another in India. Therefore, we cover the local production line. If someone from South America is going to buy launch munitions, they will be produced here in the United States and sent directly to them. Therefore, we have flexibility. And if there is any conflict in Israel that prevents us from flying, we have the factory here.”
