This morning, official media reported that the Russian Navy launched a new exercise in the North Pacific, featuring a significant deployment of nuclear submarines and Bastion coastal missile systems. According to reports, the main objective of the activity is to demonstrate the Navy’s capabilities to protect its key maritime routes in the region, while also strengthening operational procedures between ships and ground forces.

In the words of the press service of the Russian Pacific Fleet: “The exercise is the final combat training event of the Pacific Fleet’s summer training period and aims to test the combat readiness of forces and troops, as well as military command authorities to conduct defensive combat operations.” It is worth noting that the activities come just days after the conclusion of the first joint patrol carried out by Russian and Chinese submarines in the North Pacific, further highlighting the growing level of naval activity in the region and the defense partnership between the two countries.
Expanding on the details, official sources stated that the maneuvers will take place off the coasts of the Kamchatka and Chukotka regions, both located at Russia’s far eastern borders. The exercise is part of a broader training plan overseen by Admiral Viktor Liina, Commander-in-Chief of the Pacific Fleet. Moscow also revealed that the operations will involve around ten ships, helicopters, and fighter aircraft from the fleet, along with an unspecified number of coastal batteries.

Additionally, it was emphasized that the event will provide opportunities for crews to train in detecting and tracking a simulated enemy submarine, conducting air defense maneuvers, and launching anti-ship missiles against naval targets, both individually and as part of group operations. Furthermore, it was noted that the participating fighters will carry out interception and neutralization missions against unmanned threats, whose presence on modern battlefields is increasingly common.
Finally, it is worth recalling that earlier this week, the submarine K-554 Emperor Alexander III returned to its home port in the Kamchatka region after more than three months at sea. It is one of the seven Borei-A class submarines currently in service with the Russian Navy, ranking among the most modern in operation today. As with the exercises launched today, it was reported that the submarine had been involved in training missions aimed at strengthening the Kremlin’s surveillance over these strategic waters.

Whooping the Russian Navy keeping its northern sea route clear. Whoopi that’s great. Nobody really wants to stop them. Nobody is contesting that. But if somebody really did want to stop them, that Russian fleet wouldn’t last too long.
You have no clue what you are talking about thats the most sought after most contested region of the world and will only increase interest , the US , Canada , Finnland , Germany nothern European countries even China and India are very highly interrsted in taking their piece , the US is eyeing taking a major part of the Arctic with the caps melting and the trillions of dollars in natidal resources being in the Arctic the US oil amd gas industry is pushing hard fpr military build up in that region to contests Russias supremacy . Besides its really important not to fall pray to cheap propaganda , the Russian armed forces including its navy are the most capable and experienced forces on tje face of the earth right now the US hasnt fought a real war in decades it wouldnt know the first thing about how to engage an adversary of the caliber of the Russians
I’ll keep this short and simple (so even a russian troll like you can understand). russia is not, never has been and never will be a naval power. Its laughably antiquated, rust-bucket ‘navy’ is clearly outclassed and outmatched in every department ; submarines, surface units (incl. carriers) and naval aviation. It can’t even ‘show the flag’ unless it’s accompanied by a sea-going tug, just in case. Pathetic. Utterly pathetic. Btw, how’s your beloved kuzya doing these days? 😆🤣😂
SLAVA UKRAINI! 🇺🇦
LOL Russia’s military is a PAPER TIGER. That fact is evident and on display daily in Ukraine. A country 1/10 the size of Russia has killed over 1 million and growing of its Paper Tiger soldiers. The Russian military is badly depleted and outside of Nuclear would not stand up to any other military in the world. That is an undeniable fact!
I tend to disagree with Sony, our naval capabilities are certainly far superior to that of the Russians. Should we opt to engage, their entire pacific fleet would be whale sh_t, in short order
