As part of state orders, the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) continue to receive combat aircraft produced by the aviation plants of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). This was reported by the Rostec consortium during the current month of August, highlighting the delivery of batches of Sukhoi Su-35S fighters—among the most advanced in production—as well as Su-34 fighter-bombers.

As of today, UAC holds a significant number of state orders from the Russian Ministry of Defense, aimed at the production of combat, transport, and support aircraft for the VKS, as well as, to a lesser extent, for the Naval Aviation branch of the Russian Navy.
These orders are of great importance for the armed forces, as they allow for the replenishment of operational losses suffered in combat throughout more than three years of conflict in Ukraine, while also increasing the availability rate of aircraft fleets in service, which continue to suffer attrition as they bear the burden of strike, close air support, and state border protection missions for the Federation.

“Rostec’s aviation plants are maintaining a high pace of aircraft production under the state defense order. Several batches of Su-35S fighters have already been delivered to the troops this year, and the process continues: new aircraft are already in production for upcoming deliveries. The Su-35S is one of the most effective fighter aircraft in the world, armed with long-range air-to-air and air-to-surface guided missiles, as well as featuring an onboard electronic warfare and defense system, along with other advanced avionics that make it a true threat to the enemy,” stated Rostec’s Executive Director Oleg Yevtushenko.
Meanwhile, Vadim Badekha, Director General of the United Aircraft Corporation, noted: “The production of military equipment demanded under the state defense order is one of our main priorities. For practically all categories of this production, an increase in manufacturing volumes is planned for the current year, and we continue modernizing our facilities accordingly.”

Regarding deliveries, on August 12 the handover of new Sukhoi Su-34 fighter-bombers to the Aerospace Forces was confirmed, marking the third batch of these aircraft supplied this year. Previous deliveries had taken place in April and July.
As for the Su-35S air superiority fighters—the most advanced and capable version of the Flanker family—the recent delivery confirmed on August 21 represents the fourth batch of new aircraft received in 2025, with earlier deliveries recorded in March, May, and June.

However, as is often the case with this type of announcement, in both cases no specific number of aircraft was disclosed after the completion of the required testing and evaluation prior to delivery to the corresponding units.
