As part of an official visit by a delegation from the Argentine Ministry of Defense and the Argentine Air Force to Denmark, the first images to date were released of six initial F-16AM/BM MLU fighter jets that will arrive in the country this coming December. The photographs were taken at the Royal Danish Air Force’s Aalborg logistics base, where the fighter aircraft are being prepared and readied by personnel from the institution.

As revealed in a recent interview with Commodore Juan Manuel Sosa and Vice Commodore Cristian Giaccaglia — who are leading the Argentine Air Force’s “Peace Condor” Program — both officers detailed how the first six fighter jets, in flying condition, will arrive in the country.
Specifically, they stated: “Six aircraft will arrive in December: four two-seaters and two single-seaters. They will fly from Denmark, performing several aerial refueling operations and, likely, making intermediate stops. It is an operation currently being planned, and they will land in Río Cuarto.”

They added: “We are working for Argentine pilots to fly the aircraft. The idea is that, together with foreign pilots, they will carry out the ferry flights so that, as they gain experience and as far as possible, the third or fourth batch of aircraft will be flown by Argentine crews. Deliveries will continue at a rate of six aircraft per year, until all 24 are delivered.”
Meanwhile, through the photographs recently circulated during the tour by the Ministry of Defense and Air Force delegation — led by Luis Petri and Brigadier Valverde — part of the work being carried out on the fuselages and cockpits of the aircraft could be seen, including the current tail numbers displayed on the jets.

According to the images, a single-seat aircraft with tail number “E-005” and two two-seat aircraft with tail numbers “ET-613” and “ET-614” are shown, all of which are part of the first group of six jets arriving in December. Their initial home base will be the Río Cuarto Materiel Area, in the province of Córdoba, while progress continues on construction works underway at the VI Air Brigade in Tandil, Buenos Aires Province.
Lastly, as part of the latest developments in the Peace Condor Program, today Decree 423/2025 was published in the Official Gazette of the Argentine Republic, announcing negotiations between the national Ministry of Defense and Danish company TERMA A/S. The goal is to arrange a modernization contract for the Argentine Air Force’s 24 F-16 MLU fighter jets.
