Taking into account the requirements and needs of potential clients in the Middle East, Unmanned Systems Group participated in the IDEX-2025 International Exhibition, showcasing the Supercam S350 drone, which is used by the Russian Armed Forces. The presence of this unmanned aerial vehicle in Abu Dhabi is part of the company’s broader international promotion efforts, which also included its participation in Vietnam in 2024.

The Supercam S350 is a highly mobile aerial vehicle that can be employed for both civilian and military purposes. In the latter, it has stood out for its use by the Russian Armed Forces on Ukrainian battlefields for surveillance, reconnaissance, and intelligence missions. Thanks to its resilience in contested operational environments and its wide range of sensors, it has proven to be a valuable tool for troops on the ground in detecting and designating military targets.

The Russian company stated that this is due to the inclusion of “…a high-definition camera, a silent electric motor, and strong resistance to electronic warfare. According to UAV crews, it is possible to closely examine shelters and machine gun positions, track the movement of enemy personnel and equipment, and provide precise target coordinates from an altitude of one kilometer.”

Regarding its use by the Russian Armed Forces, they added: “Today, the Supercam is used by reconnaissance and infantry units, providing support to assault groups, transmitting target coordinates, and adjusting artillery and multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) fire. In coordination with missile and artillery forces, the drone enhances firing accuracy and optimizes warfare principles. The integration of the Supercam with the decision-support and fire-control system significantly increases combat effectiveness. Thanks to the joint operation of the UAV with artillery and MLRS, the process of ‘target detection — decision-making — target attack’ is carried out in a much shorter time.”

With this background and confidence in a combat-proven platform that is constantly evolving to meet new demands and requirements, the Supercam S350 was presented at IDEX-2025 as a solid option for Middle Eastern countries.

Although its primary focus has been on the military sector, its applications extend beyond that. In the civilian domain, it is a valuable tool for border protection and critical infrastructure security, particularly in counterterrorism operations.

On this matter, Unmanned Systems Group stated: “The system can be useful for monitoring the infrastructure of oil companies (such as Saudi Aramco), as well as in construction, agriculture, mining, and power line inspection. The integration of UAVs into a country’s economy allows for significant time savings, increased operational reliability of infrastructure, and the prevention of environmental and financial damage in cases of unauthorized activity or accidents.”

Finally, it is worth noting that the Russian company also showcased its extensive range of platforms at the international exhibition, highlighting the Supercam S150, Supercam X4, and Supercam X4E drones.
