As part of the readiness process for the recently inducted F-16AM/BM Fighting Falcon fighters, the Argentine Air Force (FAA) received a new and significant logistics shipment at the Río Cuarto Materiel Area (ARMACUAR). Last Friday, the 9th of this month, 50 containers arrived carrying tools, spare parts, components, and armament intended to sustain the future operations of the F-16 system. This new batch strengthens the program’s logistics support structure and represents a key step in consolidating the aircraft’s operational capability.

The direct precedent for this shipment dates back to September 2025, when a technical delegation from the Argentine Air Force completed, in the city of Kolding, Denmark, the acceptance of the first logistics package of the Peace Condor Program. On that occasion, over the course of two weeks, FAA personnel conducted the physical and documentary verification of the materiel under the ILIAS management system, used by the Royal Danish Air Force and adopted by Argentina. That first package, which included spare parts, tools, and initial components, marked the beginning of the logistics transfer to Argentina and laid the foundations for technical support for the F-16AM/BM aircraft recently delivered to the country.
The implementation of the ILIAS system represents a profound change in the Argentine Air Force’s logistics management. This digital platform integrates inventories, component traceability, and fleet maintenance within a single management environment, optimizing planning and reducing response times to operational requirements. Its adoption not only modernizes internal processes but also aligns the institution with international standards applied by NATO air forces, consolidating a qualitative leap in resource administration and technical sustainment.

Since their arrival at ARMACUAR, specialized technical personnel have been carrying out classification and inventory tasks of the received materiel. It should be noted that the aircraft delivered in December 2025 remain in the process of technical readiness and system adaptation, having not yet begun flight operations following their reception ceremony, while training programs for technical personnel and pilots continue to advance.
With the arrival of the F-16AM/BM Fighting Falcon and the establishment of their support structure, the FAA has entered a new stage of modernization. This process not only marks the recovery of supersonic capability after more than a decade, but also the consolidation of an advanced logistics network that will ensure the sustainment of the new combat vector in the coming years, thereby strengthening national air power and bilateral cooperation with Denmark.
