The Polish Armed Forces received a new batch of 32 M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams tanks on December 2 delivered by the United States, encompassed within the contract signed on April 5, 2022 valued at 4.75 billion net dollars. This delivery constitutes the fourth completed during the current year 2025.

With this lot, Poland adds a total of 117 M1A2 SEPv3 tanks already received, which represents 46.8% of the 250 vehicles planned for 2025–2026. The previous shipments included 28 units in January, 19 in May, and 38 in September. The September delivery also incorporated 14 M88A2 Hercules recovery vehicles, out of the 26 included in the contract.
The 2022 agreement contemplates the purchase of 250 M1A2 SEPv3 tanks, 26 M88A2 Hercules, 17 M1074 Joint Assault Bridge assault bridges, as well as logistical, training packages and an ammunition stock.
To these combat vehicles are added the 116 M1A1 FEP Abrams tanks received between 2023 and 2024, acquired through a contract signed on January 4, 2023 for 1.4 billion net dollars, of which 200 million were financed by the United States. The entirety of these tanks was already delivered, together with 12 M88A2 Hercules, originally being employed for the training and instruction of Polish crews.
The M1A1 FEP were assigned to the 1st Tank Battalion of Wesoła, belonging to the 1st Armored Brigade of Warsaw, and to the 1st Tank Battalion of Żurawica, of the 19th Mechanized Brigade of Lublin. The new M1A2 SEPv3 are being assigned to the 2nd Tank Battalion of Wesoła, also under the structure of the 1st Armored Brigade of Warsaw.
Lastly, and adding both versions of the Abrams tank provided by the United States, the Polish Land Forces currently already possess 233 units out of the 366 ordered to date.
